The 2025 International Festival is pleased to announce “Reality Check” a collaborative event being held simultaneously at AVA-Academy of Visual Arts , Ljubljana, SI and Chelsea College of Art, London, UK.
Two multi-media exhibitions excavating memories imagined and experienced. Where does reality blur into something else, and where does it end entirely? How much of what we think of as waking life is just the subconscious spilling over, shaping our days in ways we barely notice?

We spend a third of our lives asleep in ‘nothingness.’ Sleep is a time for cellular regeneration, but also an opportunity to unite the conscious and unconscious self, unearth the shadow side of the mind, and transcend the material world. The dissolving nature of remembering is an act of creation—an opportunity to make something new.

By following these spectral traces the artists manifest the intangible and present the viewer with ideas about our absent selves through sound, film, painting, poetry and performance.
