Avi Pitchon is an Israeli writer, artist and curator working in London and Tel-Aviv. He exhibited and curated shows in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, London, Berlin, Kristiansand, Taipei and Ljubljana. In 2010 he curated the first retrospective by IRWIN in the Middle-East, which opened at the Israeli Centre for Digital Art in the city of Holon. A bearer of a NSK Diplomatic passport, he also participated as a delegate in the 1st NSK Citizens’ Congress in Berlin 2010. His recent written and artistic work deals with utopian and monumental aesthetics. His book about the Israeli counterculture of the 1980s is to be published in 2014.
